Psychological Services
Psychotherapy can be a helpful tool in addressing the afflictions of daily life. Talking about your life in a structured, confidential manner can open up greater choices to you which will allow you to improve the quality of your life.

Situational or chronic depression, anxiety, relationship and couple problems, stress, lack of direction, rumination, worry, job problems and stress, are among the conditions and symptoms which propel one into treatment.

Treatment can be solution and symptom focused – a course which is generally brief in nature. Or, treatment can involve a longer term, more introspective approach delving into one’s history and childhood to uncover unconscious fantasies and desires which form the underlying basis for feelings, behaviors, choices and actions. In either approach, the aim is similar – to afford you a greater range of choices.

I consider myself interactive in sessions, maintaining a challenging yet warm, supportive, and encouraging presence. I have a good sense of humor and tend to help people feel at ease. I encourage feedback throughout our work together in order for you to have a satisfying experience in therapy.  I typically require weekly psychotherapy sessions but we can determine the frequency together.

If you are interested in meeting with me for psychotherapy, please feel free to contact me.  When you do, please include a little about yourself, what brings you into psychotherapy at this time, and what you're hoping to get from our work together.  I will contact you back and let you know if I think it makes sense for us to meet for an initial consulation.  Also, please keep in mind that an initial consultation does not guarantee we will work together in a professional, psychotherapy relationship.  If it does not make sense for us to work together, I will work hard with you to provide an appropriate referral.
