I am a Harvard-trained, licensed clinical psychologist with a diverse clinical background. My professional training includes experience with individual, group, and family psychotherapy in various outpatient, university, community, and emergency settings. I have worked with children, adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients.
I have 9 years of direct clinical experience. I completed my undergraduate studies at The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where I earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology. I pursued a Doctor of Psychology (Psy.D.) degree in Clinical Psychology at The George Washington University in Washington, D.C. I completed my predoctoral internship at the University of Virginia's Counseling and Psychological Services center. I then completed a two year postdoctoral fellowship at Harvard Medical School and the Cambridge Hospital. As a part of my personal commitment to developing my craft, I participate in continuing educational activities periodically throughout the year.
I currently maintain a private practice in the Back Bay in Boston where I specialize in the treatment of adults with anxiety, depression, binge-eating disorders and body image, trauma, women's issues, multicultural issues, and interpersonal conflicts.
When I'm not in my own clinical practice, I teach as a member of the Clinical Faculty in Harvard's Medical School and previously served 4 years as a Staff Psychologist with Harvard University's Health Services.
